A. If your 2-year-2-month-old daughter has what appears to be a nasal polyp on one side of her nose, it's important to consult a pediatrician or ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist for proper evaluation. Nasal polyps are rare in young children, and what appears as a polyp could be something else—like enlarged adenoids, a cyst, or even a foreign object. In children, persistent nasal blockage, breathing through the mouth, or frequent infections can sometimes be signs of such issues. If it is a nasal polyp, treatment depends on the size and symptoms. Mild cases might be managed with nasal sprays or medications, while larger ones may require minor surgery. Early diagnosis is key, so please have her examined by a doctor to ensure the right treatment and peace of mind.
