Q.

my three months baby is not taking feeds properly...she only take feed for five mins and stay for two to three hours in day ...and in night she stays for five hours with only five mins feed.....am afraid why isn't she taking feeds....I tried to feed her forcely but she isn't taking ...I thought to feed her for one hour gap as she is taking only for five mins...sometimes she is ok to get feed when I feed her...but sometimes she won't take....in night she is in deep sleep....even if I wake her to drink milk she won't take it

A. Dear mum, please check your baby’s urine count. If your baby is passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, is active and alert, gaining adequate weight at Least 500 grams per month , then feeding is sufficient. Some babies feed for shorter duration. Feed as per your baby’s demand.

A. as you nurse the baby milk density will get thicker and denser.. so baby will take feed for less time and will get full.. if the pee count is around 6-8times and baby sleeping well then baby is getting sufficient amount of milk.. take care
