Q.

My son is one year and two months old. When he was born he had a burnt green shade just above the middle of his back. I thought it was seen in all new born babies. But everyone is asking me about it now. Why does it happen? need to see a doctor?

A. it may be Mongolian spot. It is very common in any part of the body of dark-skinned babies. Mongolian spots are harmless and do not need any medical intervention. This type of birth Mark are most prominent at the age of one year and start regressing thereafter, with most of them disappearing by early childhood.
