A. can give if given by Dr between birth to 6 months you have to give only milk to the child in diet (milk contains all the essential nutrients required for the growth of the child). if the growth of the child is proper and the child is healthy then no health supplements are required. the doctor will decide if the child requires vitamin d supplements as well as multivitamin and iron supplements after examination. if you are taking the child in sunlight for 10 to 15 minutes daily than no need to give vitamin d drops if the weight gain of the child is more than 20 to 30 gram per day there is no need to give any multivitamins. please note that it is not advisable to give colic medicine / gripe water / ghutti / constipation medicine / bonissan as well as any other digestive medicines on regular basis because they are medicines and have side effects.

A. It's common for pediatricians to recommend vitamin D3 and multivitamin supplements for infants, especially if they are breastfed, as breast milk may not provide sufficient amounts of certain vitamins. Iron supplements like sha syrup may also be prescribed if there's a concern about iron levels. Here are some general guidelines: 1. **Vitamin D3:** It's often recommended to give breastfed infants 400 IU of vitamin D3 daily to support healthy bone development and overall health. 2. **Multivitamins:** These can help ensure your baby gets essential vitamins and minerals, especially if there's a concern about nutritional intake. 3. **Iron Supplements:** Iron is crucial for healthy growth and development, and supplements are sometimes recommended if a baby is at risk of iron deficiency. It's important to follow your pediatrician's recommendations regarding dosages and duration of supplementation. If you have any concerns or notice any side effects, consult your pediatrician promptly. Regular check-ups will help monitor your baby's health and adjust supplements as needed.
