Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially  which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of age and if the baby is comfortable with no irritability because of infantile colic nasal blockage any regurgitation etc  you should not worry just give a comfortable position to the baby and no medicine is required.
In children above one year of age you have to just make a proper discipline for the child so that graducally the child will develop a proper schedule and avoid toob much of screen time and other activities at least one hour before sleep also make the room environment and temperature favourable for the child to sleep.
toddlers may have night terrors and nightmares which needs to be managed accordingly.

That’s Very normal maybe your child is sleeping for longer durations during the day time which is why your child is awake or sometimes when a child is having its teeth are so annoyed that they do not sleep at night if neither of their thing is the problem then get a check with your doctor
