My son is crying on and off for the last 40 mins, what could be the reason?

Author of questionMom of a 3 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Thank you so much Doctor. My baby falls sleepy after the feed and he is not burping..when he woke up he start crying and calm down after the burp.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. your child is having colic which is causing such behaviour.
Colic is quite common in children before 6 months of age.
The usually start after 3 weeks of age.
You can give drops gastica or colicaid to the child 0.5 ml if the child is crying for more than 15 to 20 minutes due to colic pain.
Limb cycling movements as well as tummy time will help.
To prevent colic pain kindly do burping for 15 to 20 minutes after every feed and do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because all the gas is not removed after one burping. kindly meet your doctor for more information
