My son is 3months old. He is sucking the thumb. During feeding also he tries to suck the thumb. What to do? is this normal?

A. Hello, it's normal at this age group.. it's natural for a baby to put thumb into his mouth to explore them. it is important for hand mouth cordination. do wipe the mouth and hands off often with a soft, gently cloth.

A. I totally agree with Nihita. Many said not to avoid and I let my kid suck his thumb. now he is not leaving that habit. it's a worrying thing now and also have to listen to all taunts from relatives n in laws. please spend some more time with the kid to distract him. while feeding hold his hand softly and pamper like kissing n playing with hand. so that they feel comfortable and suck milk instead of thumb.

A. good evening it is not about the baby feeling hungry it is a matter of habit I would recommend that you should discourage your child for this otherwise this habit will become very difficult to remove
