My son is 1m 24 days old. For the past 2 days when he wakes up, he makes a snoring like sound while breathing, as if his nose is blocked. He seems uncomfortable, though there is no chest retraction. The dr said everything is normal with no chest cough, and suggested it might be due to wet mucus behind the nose. He prescribed Cozy cool and Ambrodil S along with saline drops.

However we read cozy cool isn’t recommended for children under 4 years.

I have 4 questions
1. What exactly is causing this?
2. As dr said, everything is normal then what can be the reason for prescribing this medication.
3. Can saline drops alone help?
4. How long will this last?

Hello dear parent! As mentioned by you earlier can be wet mucus. Complete the course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor. Keep Babyhug medicine spoon handy. Clarify the concerns and follow your doctor’s advice
