Q.
My son is 1 month and 12 days old. He takes formula 6-7 times a day @90 ml per feed almost every 3 hours along with some breast feeding. During night, there will be a gap of around 4-5 hours of feeding because of sleep. Will there be any problem with the time gap or should I wake him and feed for every 3 hours

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors.
A proper is counselling is required which can be done by a lactational counsellor along with a proper diet wguith plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavari .
Also try to avoid giving top milk in initial stage specially with bottle feeding which may be the culprit for lactational failure most of the time .c
