my son is 1 1/2,year old got fever since three days I am giving paracetamol syrup and cefpodoxine antibiotics for 3days and fever has reduced on 7th days again fever is back I approached paediatric but he dint advice any antibiotics or blood test but told looks like viral fever and wrote paracetamol syrup no cough and cold plz suggest me something about his condition not eating any thing

don't worry..

give only paracetamol for three days.
if still it didn't recovered only then you should start antibiotics as they reduce our immunity.
breastmilk helps in rapid recovery

Hi See in general terms it is said if there is a fever last more than 72 hours  then that means It could possibly be due to some viral infection or something but since your child is not having any cough and cold that’s a good sign so start doing Thanda Pani ki patti for the time being and give paracetamol if needed I do consult your doctor once if the fever does not come down
