My son has got some hand mouth foot virus with red spots and now diarrhea. Any experience with this one and how soon it subsides

commonly seen is viral red eruptions on the skin mainly on the joints of the body and on the bums and around the mouth and there are ulcers in the oral cavity.
only symptoms treatment is given for fever as well as for pain and itching and oral ulcers and the disease usually resolves maximum by 1 to 1 and half weeks.

the child should stay away from other children for at least one week because it is a contagiousx disease.

calamine lotion is applied on the skin eruption
zytee / dologel on the ulcer before food intake
anti histamine for skin itchingd
paracetamol for fever and pain
give mild cold liquid diet when ulcers are more

It’s actually spreading quite a lot in India these days every I think third or fourth child out of 10 to 15 case is suffering with it has become very common these days so I think it would be good that you consult your doctor for further proper medication and treatment and it can easily take 15 to 20 days and sometimes more than that also
