Q.
My new born is 12 days old ,he is not at all interested in latching either on breastfeed or formula feed.Forcefully I'm waking him up 2 hours once for feed. If I breastfeed within 5 minutes he will sleep. kindly suggest

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. most of the newborn babies will be sleeping almost 18 to 20 hours per day after taking feeding for 10 minutes if the baby is passing urine 8 to 10 times per day no need to worry

Arree But why do you have to force feed your child it is not right you do not have to wake up every two hours to feed its not the right way you just have to feed whenever your child is awake and your child is asking for free that’s the right way to go about it doctors initially do you say that you should feed every two hours but that is only when the child is awake you don’t have to force feed
