Q.

my girl 3 month old has fever about 101.4. i gave p100 0.6ml can I give tepid sponging to reduce heat. for past two days myself and my son has temperature its bcoz of this she got temperature?

A. yes can do so and also can give a bath the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
