A. Dear mum, baby should gain at least 500 grams per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or earlier. The most healthy way to gain weight is to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
