My doctor not prescribed me the iron medicine for my 6month baby .Is the iron medicine is necessary or not.

A. Iron medications are not compulsory for babies unless they’re actually anemic. But you’re supposed to give vitamin D medications until the baby complete one year of ageWrite Your Answer Here

A. Hello ma’am If your doctor has prescribed it to you to go for then I would advise you to continue giving it maybe your child is low on haemoglobin or blood which is why your doctor must have prescribed you to go for it so my advice to you would be to continue with the iron supplement for at least six minimum months

Sir/Madam, my boy is 8 months+, one doctor prescribed me iron supplements to give, till 1 yr and another doctor advised me to not give unnecessary iron drops as the growth of the child is great and doesn't need the medicine as I am giving formula milk to the baby which has all the necessary supplements in it. What should I do, do I continue iron along with Vitamin D or stop it. I am very confused. Please guide me.
