Q.

My daughter would be 3 yr and 5 months old in June 2022. is it ok to admit her to lkg now or should she go to playschool for a year? she knows basics of rhymes, letters and numbers and little English which she has picked up from cartoons. But she isn't trained in writing anything. Also, she has had very little interaction with other toddlers due to COVID. the school has said they can admit her in lkg. can anyone suggest if playschool is better or lkg.

A. To get admissions to pre-primary (LKG), the child should have completed 3 years and 10 months by June, according to a new order issued by the Department of Public Instruction.
