Father of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years ago
Q.

My daughter's weight at birth was 3.5 kg and growth percentile was between 45-55 in WHO growth chart . Currently at 16 months weight is 9.4 kg and growth percentile is about 5-10. Is it worrisome? Why growth rate is reducing. She eats fruits, sabji , roti everything. Drinks cow milk and mother's feeding is also continue. She is always happy and playful and walks also. Should we be worried? How can she gain weight, any supplements of protein/nutrients??

A. Hello ma’am The WHO standards are not appropriate for every child around because every child is different and has different growth and everything so don’t follow the WHO instead of getting into all these things it will be better that you get it checked with your paediatrician if your doctor says that the weight and height and other things are as per the age of your child then all in the place
