A. At six months old, your daughter can start having solid foods alongside breast milk or formula. Begin with easily digestible, single-ingredient foods like rice cereal, mashed banana, boiled and mashed vegetables (like carrot, pumpkin, or potato), and soft fruits like apple puree. You can also offer well-cooked moong dal or suji porridge. Introduce one new food at a time and wait for 2–3 days before trying another to watch for any allergies. Keep the food soft, smooth, and easy to swallow, and continue breastfeeding as the main source of nutrition.
