my daughter is 4yr 7 month old her flu vaccine is given 1 yr ago so it's 2nd dose is required or not

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 months agoA. For your 4 years 7 months old daughter, whether a second flu vaccine dose is needed depends on her previous flu vaccination history:
If this was her first-ever flu vaccine: Then two doses are recommended in the first year. These two doses should be given at least 4 weeks apart. So if only one dose was given last year, she likely missed the second dose, and it won't be effective enough. Going forward: The flu vaccine is recommended once every year for all children above 6 months of age. So, yes, she should get her annual flu shot this year (even if last year’s second dose was missed, give her this year’s full dose).
