Q.

my daughter is 4 years and 3 months old. Presently she is in LKG . In school they are teaching Hindi and English writing. Can I teach Tamil writing at home? Will it confuse the child, reading multiple languages at the same time?

A. While it may seem easy for a child to learn multiple languages, exposure and consistency is important. There are many things you need to raise a multilingual child. ... This could mean your child can speak 3, 4, 5 or even 6 languages, but is not actually fluent in one of them.
