My daughter is 3 months and 15 days old. Her birth weight is 2.6 kg and she is 5.2 kg now only on breastfeed. Is the weight gain ok or low ?

A. She is gradually increasing like 2.6 then 3 then 3.8 then 4.5 and now 5.2 kg. Is there a need to start formula

A. hi dear Most breastfed babies will gain weight in a consistent and expected pattern as long as they latch on well and feed often. But if you're breastfeeding and your newborn is gaining weight slowly or inconsistently, they may not be getting enough breast milk.
