Q.

My daughter is 2 years 6 month. However, she has not started talking, she will always point out at things what she wants . Sometimes she listens when we call her name but sometimes she totally ignore us. Need advice how to develop her speaking skill. Doctor suggested zero screen time which have done now. But any other advice is very much needed

A. She is able to understand the commands like sit here, let’s go out, let’s take bath . Eye contact is fine but if she is busy in her activity she won’t look at us .

A. if your child is able to understand and follow all the commands given and is able to you hear what you are saying with proper eye contact then do not worry much about the language skills of the child because speech will gradually come. Try to avoid TV mobile laptop like screen time and spend more time with the child talking with the child as well as if more people are available to talk with the child and this will also improve the social and language milestones of the child. meet dr for assessment
