Q.

my daughter is 2 and half year old, I noticed redness , itching and slight inflammation on the bcg scar for last 2days , no fever or any other symptoms noticed yet. is it something to worry

A. Hi it's normal..no worries The presence of the abscess tells you that the immunisation is working. It is not at all painful for your baby. Don’t try to scratch or treat. Wipe it with some saline water and leave it open to drain. There is no need for any antiseptic lotion or any creams at all, and don’t put a plaster on it either. It will heal by itself over time.

A. so the reactivation of the bcg scar after 2 years is normal?
