Q.

My daughter had viral fever before two months but since yesterday again she is having fever around 100 C ( my assumption as baby is notputting thermometer) cold and cough. Giving her paracetamol every 8 hrs. Please help!

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicincde in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
