Q.
my child is 5 year 9 month old. His vacination was done on 21st april. from that day he have a fever and pain in leg where injection inject. today is 3rd day but still he has fever. i have to consult doctor or is it normal to have fever and pain?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swdtelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locatlly and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .
