my child is 3.9 years old and takes too long to finish his food and doesn't want to eat by himself.

If You really expect your child to finish all the miles on its own in small time than that is not possible you should actually feed your child with your bare hands for about 5 to 6 years of age after that only gradually a child picks up to eat on its own and that too gradually your child will learn to pick it up but they will take similar time to eat because they cannot eat fast
