.2) Typhoid shot is given on 10th month to my child.as per guideline now on 2 years tcv shot is not required.but some say it is required.we have skipped her tcv shot to be given on completing 2 years as per guideline but now some doctors are saying it should be given on completing 2 years also.what is the correct guideline .is it reqd or not and of skipped on completion of 2 years then till what age can be given?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. when you give the vaccination to the child then the immunity for that vaccine improves so if you are delaying the vaccination the child will get proper immunity only when you give the vaccine till that time the child remains susceptible to the disease

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. if you are not given the pneumococcal booster then it is advisable to give the pneumococcal booster and yes as per the new guidelines if you are not taking the typhoid vaccine then also it is ok
