Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. the recurrent stretching / curving of the body again and again as well as uncomfort / making grunting sounds as well as hiccups as well as colic pain all are due to gas in the intestine and stomach.
it is very important that after giving milk to the child you
should keep the child in upright position and do burping for 15 to 20 minutes(irrespective that you hear the burps or not). gas in stomach causes hiccups.
do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because one time burping will not removed all the gas and if the gas is not removed properly it goes into intestine causing abnormal distension and that will lead to colic pain again and again.
keep the child in uprightf position whether you hear the burping sound or not and also it is not important that you will hear the sound when the child removes the air from the oral cavity.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 1 m old girl1 Year agoA. Stretching is totally normal but if your child is turning its face red basically sometimes it could be due to stomach pain also or gas which can actually lead to this kind of change into the child while stretching the body that’s very normal for a child
