Q.
My baby not gaining weight last two months after starting solids. It's 6.8 kgs for past two months. Why is he not gaining weight and what to do to increase his weight

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, weight of 6.8 kg is a normal weight for 7 months old baby boy. some babies gain weight slowly.
for healthy weight gain and growth give adequate Quantity and frequency of top food.
give top food three times a day and up to half katori every time. give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. consistency of food should be like that of Ghee. add Ghee to every meal. use top milk to prepare recipes like porridge, kheer and give as milk products like curd, paneer. avoid fruit juice and soup. continue to breastfeed baby.
