then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by twog years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the stpeech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

Some 13-month-olds are still using gibberish that has tones and a cadence like real conversation but doesn't consist of any actual words. That's normal too.
