2doses should be given with 4wks apart after months (1st at 6months and 2nd at 7months)
And thereafter every yearly
It protect baby from influenza virus (swine flu)
It's always better to give influenza vaccine.

Hi Mom, Flu shots are recommended for babies 6 months or older, according to american academy of pediatrics. babies and toddlers getting the flu shot for the first time need two doses with four weeks in between. Consult once with your child doctor regarding the same before vaccine.
