my baby is 6 days old. She is sleeping alot and most of the times not sucking milk. urinating only 4 times daily and poty 1 time. I am trying breast pump to feed her. Is it safe to use breast pump? will it decrease milk production? Also can we give formula milk?

A. Using breast pump is absolutely safe. Do not worry. Just make sure that you latch directly too. And don't use bottles as it may cause nipple confusion. You can instead try and give milk o mate cup from Bump2Cradle. It's like a cup with spoon attached to it. The flow is controlled so will prevent choking and won't cause nipple confusion.

During breast pump is completely safe of course you can use and express the breastfeed and give it to the child with the medium of a feeding bottle so that is a good thing there is no problem with that and the initial days of 30 to 60 days it is the same with that don’t worry about it it’s a normal thing that you are facing
