Q.

My baby is 4months old she had a vaccination on Wednesday from Thursday she is not sucking breastmilk and crying alott Iam pumping and giving it in filler I dont no what happened to her and I am worried

A. swelling has been resolved she is sucking breastmilk during sleeping but not drinking while awake

A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothrying to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation lorcally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain. Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .
