Q.

my baby is 4 months old. and doctor has advised to take thyroid test since she is over weight. is it normal for baby to have thyroid

A. Hello dear parent Yes it is possible for babies to have thyroid disorder,called as congenital hypothyroidism where ye baby has it since birth. The treatment is only thyroid medications

A. yes if you have a family history of thyroid it may be present in baby so follow your doctor and get checked once for the level so as to get proper medication if needful
