POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 11 m old boy5 years agoA. Hello parent, Ubtan or uptan, is a paste made of gram flour (besan), a pinch of turmeric (haldi) and milk, cream or curd. Sometimes a few drops of oil are added to the paste to treat dry skin. Mums cover their baby with this paste thinking it will give their baby soft, healthy skin with a lighter complexion.
