As ur baby is just 18 days old, wait for some time for the weight to increase.
Feed for longer time from one breast so that the baby gets both fore milk and hind milk. Hind milk is rich in fat and thicker which will help in weight gain of the baby.
Then switch to other breast to feed if required.
