ExpertDr Priyashree Mukherjee ChakrabortyPaediatrician10 months agoA. Hello dear 17 month, old child might only be speaking 12 to 15 words, mostly, they use sign language to express their feelings. However, if you find that your child is not speaking, even these many words, then please refer to a Pediatrician.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy10 months agoA. Hello there ma’am, please do not worry about it too much. Babies start to speak small words like maa and paa by the age of two yaers and make small sentences by the age of three years. talk more with baby . Good speech takes time to come . You can speak more with baby even if did not respond much you can talk to baby more as eventually baby will speak clearly and also you can take help of any speech therapist and should avoid any screen time of television and mobile .
