my baby is 1 year 1 month old...he didn't start to speak words like Amma, appa, ...when will the baby start speaking words? my elder daughter had started speaking when she was 9 months old...I am so worried..baby is active, healthy and naughty too...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. regarding speech baby starts to speak mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years . do more interaction with:wt the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly..
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
