Q.

my baby is 1 month old, and doctor confirmed that because of lactose intolerance my baby is getting lot of gas and loose motions and he asked me to stop breast feed for 2 days. is lactose intolerance is permanent in baby's? . will lactose enzyme change in my breast milk?

A. In certain cases it can be permanent but in most of the cases it is temporary only but we cannot be sure about it for that you’ll have to get a test conducted which is going to give you a better clarity whether your child is having lactose intolerance or protein allergy or anything of the sort
