Q.

My baby have fever. Visited to doctor, he said it's normal temperature. After coming back again he got fever and it's 100.8 F. 3 times given dolo drops. Now drops over, doctor suggested t give calpol drops. after giving 3 times dolo can I change to calpol drops now ?? please suggest

A. calpol and Dolo are only paracetamol so you can give any one of the two For FEVER as well as PAIN kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. Also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give Paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation

A. Fevers due to viruses can last for as little as two to three days and sometime as long as two weeks. A fever caused by a bacterial infection may continue until the child is treated with an antibiotic.
