Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. It is not uncommon for babies to have open pores on their face, which are often referred to as "milia" or "baby acne." These open pores are usually a result of the baby's skin adjusting to their new environment and hormonal changes. While they can be concerning for parents, in most cases, they are harmless and tend to resolve on their own without any treatment.
To help alleviate the appearance of open pores on your baby's face, it is important to keep their skin clean and dry. Gently cleanse the baby's face with a mild baby cleanser and warm water, avoiding harsh chemicals or products that may irritate the skin. Additionally, make sure to gently pat the baby's skin dry after washing to prevent any further irritation.
It is also recommended to avoid applying any lotions or creams to the affected area, as this may clog the pores and exacerbate the issue. If you have any concerns about your baby's skin or if the open pjores persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult with a pediatrician or dermatologist for further evaluation and appropriate treatment.
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please massage baby with BabyHug coconut oil. Also use Sebamed soap to bathe the baby. Use a good brand moisturiser like BabyHug moisturiser or MamaEarth moisturiser for the baby. Also use a good brand sunscreen lotion for the baby.
Thanks and take care
