Q.

My baby has just entered 6th month. How do I start cerelac? Timings to feed? Quantity to be fed? And what else can be introduced slowly?

A. Hello mom would suggest to initially start with liquid consistency foods such as Dal or rice water or vegetable soup or fresh fruit juice. Introduce one thing at a time with just few teaspoons and then gradually as the baby accepts them Well you can gradually increase the quantity the variety and also the number of meals and you can alternated with your feed. Once they are well with liquid consistency. Gradually, then you can move to semi solid like cerelac or steamed vegetables or fruit pulps or khichadi or porridges made of ragi ,Suji ,multigrain mix. Etc.

A. Introduce fruit puree once a day initially for 15 days and then give 2 times a day like khichdi and daal, m no doctor so better consult your doctor
