Q.

My baby has fever 101.4,101.2,100.7,100.4 like this,after giving calpol120 is still ups downs but not completely down it’s 99.9 etc,is it ok or should I admit my child?

A. My baby weight is 9.9 kg doc recommended 5ml 4 times in a day,is it ok

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is havingt fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried dout for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
