Q.
My baby had vaccine yesterday of 16 months DPT Booster-1 , Vit A- 2 , MR -2 , JE -2 , OPV Booster (in government) his legs are paining and he's not walking if we keep him stand he starts crying....

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as welld as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyondd 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello you can keep a cold compress over the area which can help and also if the child is having fever then try to give paracetamol which will help reduce the pain as well as this swelling and any concern check with your doctor she can guide you accordingly
