Q.

my baby fall down from his bike and hit his ear to an angel of cupboard. ear was red and swelling also. he was cried a lot. now he was playing. iam worried about wether inside the ear was injured. please guide me.

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal movement or convulsions.in such case it needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury .otherwise application of ice locally to relieve the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should kbe avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missvved out most of the time .
