Q.

My baby boy is 48 days old. He passes motion little watery whenever he sneezes,cries or even sometimes when he was simply awake.. he frequently releases gas. please tell me whether this is normal or I need to avoid eating any particular food.

A. the loose motion in your child is not related to the diet you are taking because many times it is Semi solid to solid and it is very normal that during sneezing as well as during passing gas the child may pass small amount of tool which is normal and this problem will go away with increasing age of the child

A. if you are giving only breastfeeding then there is a possibility that slightly loose to semi solid stool may be present intermittently but if you see that it is totally watery and also you are giving outside milk then it is advisable to get the child examined by the doctor to rule out any digestion problem or any infection and need of probiotics and Zinc has to be evaluated. in the meantime kindly continue breastfeeding fto prevent dehydration you can continue breastfeeding and if the loss of water through the watery stool is more you can give ORS also also if you observe that there is blood in the stool then kindly meet the doctor immediately because it can be dysentery also.....
