Q.

my baby boy is 1 month old now, yesterday we took jaundice test for him and value is 15.6 , does he need phototherapy or can we cure with any medicine drops?

A. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow. you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice4. normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy. the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.
