Hi doctor My new born baby boy who is 25 days old He is affected with jaundice after phototherapy value decreased to 12 doctor told to stop phototherapy still his eyes is yellow.Is it normal or not

A. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellowr. you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice. normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapyr. the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.
