my baby born weight is 3.150. Then at 45 days the weight is 5.4 . it is normal or overweight?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum, weight of 5.4 kg is not overweight for 45 days old baby, but a weight gain of 2.3 kg in 45 days is slightly high. Keep a close watch on your baby’s weight gain in subsequent months and if the pattern of weight gain continues to be the same, then you should consult doctor.
For healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. Avoid giving formula.
