Q.

my baby age is 7 days on 3rd day we had TSP test and bilirubin is 13.9 and after 2 days we are discharged, today we again did the test on 7th day, now it is bilirubin is 12.4 do we need to have phototherapy treatment?

A. It is on the higher side you can check with the doctor because I think keeping in phototherapy for 24 hours would be good along with that you should keep your child into indirect sunlight every day twice in a day for at least 30 to 40 minutes

Q. My baby is 17 days old and is having jaundice. His jaundice was recognised after 3rd day of birth and at that time his bilirubin was 16 so we got him to a Nicu for a day. He was discharged when his bilirubin was 8 and after 5 days we again got him tested and his bilirubin was13.8 and again after 4 days his bilirubin is now at 15.4 . I am really concern with this increasing trend of bilirubin factor. Would need some advice as what should we do !! We are trying to expose him to the sunlight but due to rainy weather the sunlight is also not there .. Please suggest what should we do !!

Q. hello my baby is now 24 days old and she has baby jaundice still and doc took bilirubin test in that bilirubin total is 13 and bilirubin direct us 7 so doc said to take a scan and thyroid test and both the result came out as normal except mild hepatomegaly.... but doc said now there is no major problem so he said to take follow up bilirubin test again after 2 weeks im so worried does it will cause any harm to baby pls pls somebody help me.... pls....
